Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVT)

Our Technicians are members of Professional Associations including; NAVTA (North American Veterinary Technician Assoc), and WVTA (WI Veterinary Technician Assoc).  They attend Continuing Education seminars and meetings throughout the year and are proud to offer your pet the best care available.


The Veterinary Technician's Oath:

I solemnly dedicate myself to aiding animals and society by providing excellent care
and services for animals, by alleviating animal suffering, and by promoting public health.

I accept my obligations to practice my profession conscientiously and with sensitivity, adhering to the profession's Code of Ethics, and furthering my knowledge and competence through a commitment to lifelong learning.


Michel Peterson, CVT (1998)

Michel grew up in Madison, Wisconsin and attended Waunakee Schools.  After High School she enrolled in the Veterinary Technician Program at Madison Area Technical College, graduating in 1994 with an Associates Degree, becoming Certified that same year.  After working in a couple of different clinics in Madison, she found herself at the Animal Hospital of Sun Prairie in 1998, and has been here ever since!  She has 2 black labs, Abe and Silas.  She currently lives in Token Creek.  In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her boyfriend at their cabin in northern Wisconsin, time in the outdoors and the sun, boating, reading, and flower gardening.


Laurie Hahn, CVT (2014)

Laurie graduated from the Veterinary Technician Program at MATC.  She grew up in Sun Prairie, and worked here as a kennel assistant while attending college.  Welcome back Laurie! 


Tami Biesterveld, CVT (2011)

Tami is a 2011 graduate of the Veterinary Technician program at MATC. She is from Odgensburg, Wisconsin and attended Little Wolf High School. Tami currently lives in Sun Prairie and enjoys volleyball, camping, fishing, visiting the Boundry Waters and spending time with family and friends.
